What Is ClariFix®?
ClariFix® is a clinically-proven medication that uses cryotherapy to reduce your sinus issues. This is done by using a cooling probe which is used to freeze a small part of an area deep within the nose. The inflamed area causing the running noise and leakage is frozen which can help reduce inflammation, pain, and provide relief to the tissue.
Possible Side Effects
While ClariFix® treatment is safe and effective, and approved by the FDA, you may experience a few minor side effects. These symptoms can last a day or two. Some of the possible side effects include:
- Headache
- Brain Freeze
- Congestion
- Oozing mucus
While you may experience these side effects, you will also notice an alleviation in your sinus pain and discomfort. If side effects persist for more than a few days or you are experiencing any discomfort, please contact a medical professional.
Does Treatment Hurt?
Before the ClariFix® is applied, a numbing topical cream is applied beforehand to numb or reduce any potential pain, irritation, or discomfort. You may feel a slight cooling sensation during the procedure in your nose and around your molars.
Recovery Time
Generally speaking, there is little to no downtime or recovery needed. While you may experience slight congestion and other discomfort, it usually resolves itself the same day. You’ll be able to return to your daily activities within a few days and can expect to see improvements within two to six weeks after treatment.
