Why Choose Us
At the St. Louis Sinus Center, understanding the underlying cause of your sinus or nasal symptom(s) is our number one priority.
Typical sinus symptoms include:
- Runny nose
- Post-nasal drip
- Facial pain/pressure
For some, sinus symptoms may be minor, while for others they may be so debilitating that they cause missed time from work, school and/or family activities. The St. Louis Sinus Center understands how incredibly frustrating these symptoms may be and the impact it has on quality of life. For this reason, the St. Louis Sinus Center has invested in state-of-the-art diagnostic technology. Our diagnostic tools include; Nasal endoscopy exams, allergy testing, and low-dose MiniCAT Instant CT scans. Together, these tools give us information about your nose, allergies and sinuses and allows us to determine the underlying cause of symptoms. Often, these diagnostic tests can be performed all in one visit which speeds up the process and requires less office visits.
Once a diagnosis is complete, we may recommend allergy treatments, medications, in-office procedures, surgery or some combination of these. As one of the most technologically advanced offices in the country, the St. Louis Sinus Center prides itself in offering minimally invasive, in-office procedures versus surgical options. Balloon Sinus Dilation is one example.
Balloon Sinus Dilation is a highly effective procedure for the treatment of recurrent and/or chronic sinusitis (sinus infections.) BSD offers a long-term, durable solution for most sinusitis patients and costs much less than traditional sinus surgery. Furthermore, Dr. Gould is an internationally recognized expert, researcher and developer of In-Office Balloon Sinus Dilation Techniques. Dr. Gould and St. Louis Sinus Center have been recognized as a National Center of Excellence for In-Office Balloon Sinus Dilation.
